Omega-3 fatty acids are vital for every stage of life. We need to consume sufficient Omega 3's to enjoy stable emotional health, cognitive and physical performance, including the well-being and development of our brain cells, eyes, heart, muscles, skin and connective tissues/joints.

Emotional health/Depression and mental disorders: EPA and DHA omega fatty acids are present in the brain and low brain levels of these fats have repeatedly been linked to individuals that suffer from depression, anxiety and mood disorders. It’s often been noted that the fish eating nations of the world have low rates of depression, because it appears that fish oils (notably the EPA and DHA content) increase dopamine production/activity in the brain.
Omega 3 supplementation in rats has been shown to increase dopamine levels by 40% and increase binding sites for dopamine in the brain, making the Omega 3 EPA and DHA a potent natural treatment and prevention of depressive and other psychiatric disorders.
Concentration, Cognitive functions and brain performance: the EPA and DHA omega fatty acids readily enter the brain and interact with cell membranes and signalling as well as brain development.
